Little Snitch: Behave!

August 18, 2008 @ 12:13

I installed Little Snitch last week, since I wanted to cut internet connectivity for a few applications I was testing. When I was done, I uninstalled Little Snitch.

Now, to my surprise, when I tried to run the same applications today, they couldn’t connect to any resources on the net. Hm… Even stranger; if I opened up Xcode and built those applications, they would connect just fine. But when moved to /Applications, they wouldn’t…

Ok, the good old restart of the computer? Didn’t help. Hm… So, this might be a long shot but if I install Little Snitch again, and then remove all rules? Said and done, I installed it, removed all rules, and then uninstalled it again. Opened up /Applications and started one of the applications I was having problems with and… tada! No longer any connectivity problems.

You should feel ashamed Obdev.

Ever wondered what scope your currently in? Pressing Control+Alt+Command+F toggles highlighting of the current scope in Xcode 3.X. Handy to know.

Update: You could also toggle this through Xcode’s main menu; View > Code Folding > Focus Follows Selection.
